I have been wanting to make a specific headband the last couple days. Only thing is, the type of material that was called for, I didn't really have. (like T-shirt/softer material). But I had an idea! I had an old dress that was to small for me, plus I loved the color! So I set to work..

But I loved the dress so much, I couldn't bring myself to cut the skirt part off for a HEADBAND.

So I cut off the straps on the side. :)

It's really really comfortable and soooooft.

So after the headband, I had a thought.. What if I cut the skirt part off and made it a skirt for myself?

GENIUS!

But it looked rather unfinished since I didn't hem what I had just cut off. So ANOTHER genius idea hit me.

ELASTIC!

I think it came out pretty cute. I made a few mistakes, like making the back pleat on the SIDE of the skirt, not dead center. Oh well. I'll fix it later LOL :P

Yesterday, we all had a good day. A really good day.

Matt and Mom went to Chick-Fil-A's date Knight. Lauryn and Yule got their room all finished up.

Dad sold 1 1/2 cars. And I got my camera.

When Dad got home I kinda hinted that like maybe we could like go get my camera..

And then Mom asked.

"Morgan do you and Dad wanna go get your camera?"

"YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!"

I hopped in my scooter bug and we took off to Best Buy.

It was packed. So we had to wait a few minutes. Daddy told me to stay close, because when someone came, He didn't know what to say. Then a girl came over. And Dad called me over. It was silent. I looked up at the girl, smiling. "I need this camera" I said pointing to the model.

She laughed. "So your set on it".

So after about twenty minutes I walked out of the store carrying Perry. That's his name.

I took tons of pictures in my room that night. I was amazed at the clarity of the picture. It really is a GREAT camera, and I'm so excited about what I'm gonna do with it.

Like shooting my first engagement shoot THIS Tuesday.

Like taking my Bosses brother in laws Senior portraits.

Like taking my Sister & Brother-in-laws 3 year anniversary pictures.

And several other portraits.

I am grateful for God providing this camera for me. Very grateful.

He put the desire in me in the first place.

Now. Friday night, I finally watched Salt. And I LIKED it. Which really surprised me. I'm not that big on action movies, but I really liked this one. I'm gonna have to watch it again.

And for those of you wondering, I finally got my own room. After almost 17 years of sharing a room.

I got my own. But don't take me wrong, it's not that I didn't LIKE sharing a room. It was just getting crammed with 3 girls in a tiny room. So I moved downstairs. And the walls are pink. Pink pink.

And Lauryn and Yule painted their room purple. Pretty purple.

Yeah. Theirs been a lot of stuff going on around here lately.

Playdate..

We made a "movie", screamed and ran around playing freeze tag and then did a photoshoot. :)

Blogging Tips.

I can't really give a lot of tips because I'm "new" to the blogging world, but here are a few that have worked for me.

out there-
Be a friend. I follow TONS of blogs, and I usually leave a comment on each and everyone of them. Not only is it kind and encouraging to the blogger, it gets you traffic. I LOVE it when I open my email and I have sweet comments.

Advertise
 Advertise. Everywhere. I advertise my stuff on Facebook, Pinterest, Flickr, ect..
I usually put up the fashion and DIY tutorials up on pinterest, and regular posts on Facebook.
BEWARE: I dislike it when I see people commenting on others blogs, AND advertising their own blogs. Not that this is always wrong, but I personally don't care for it.

Design
Design REALLY REALLY  matters. I am VERY indecisive when it comes to designing my blog. I am still in the process of trying to get mine attractive.. But you know.. LOL

Photography
Most girls blogs now days are STELLAR photography. I am soon to get my camera, so I hope I can take some better snapshots. Also, photos that have  a STORY. Thats really important.

Writing
Writing needs to be clear and paint a picture. I am still learning how to be a better writer, but I have come a LOOOOOONG way then when I started blogging. LOL
A blog is YOUR life story. So tell it clearly.

Tutorials
People LOVE tutorials. So find something your good at, make a tutorial and blog it.

Giveaways
I enter almost every giveaway I come across. And I give a few to. They are a great way to get followers.

So sorry

I know I haven't written in a while, but I am here explaining why. My laptop broke. Well actually it got a nasty virus and then it broke. So I've got to get that fixed. So that means my photography won't be up for a little while, because I am having to use my Moms computer and I dislike it LOL. But I have a TON of photos from the weekend that are definitely going to be up.. I hope.

But there have been a few new developments over here. Lots of exciting news, but I will share all that later ;) OH OH! I got my car back from the shop yesterday!! Hehe it was like driving a new vehicle because the breaks aren't squealing like a a little girl, and it's not making sounds like grilling something in my hood. :/ LOL. And it's going much much smoother so yeah I'm happy about that! But I have not forgotten to blog, it's just been hard without a computer . But I have LOTS of new news to share soon!

Breakfast with Dad

The rain pounded hard on my window with an occasional BOOM of thunder. I shielded my eyes from the lightning shooting in . Then softly.. Drifted to sleep.

This morning I was up exceptionally early. This was a special morning. I was going out with my Dad for breakfast. I shoved my comfy jeans and and threw on a shirt, and my knitted coat. Then waited. My Dad stuck his head out of his door. It was almost time to go. Finally after much ruckus between myself and my other two siblings (who were both on the couch hacking) I made it out the door with my Daddy.

Since beginning his new job, he hasn't got to be home in the mornings that often. So the days he works later, he takes one of of out.
Today was my turn.

On the way there (in the pouring rain) we chit chatted. When we got to McDonalds, their were only a few people there. Mostly elderly gentlemen sipping coffee.  I looked around at everyone waiting for my Dad to arrive with the pancakes. When he did, I dug in. and we talked, all the while sitting in a window booth with the rain streaming down. I talked about everything. Like I have said in my last posts, I have had so much on my mind, it was so good to talk ALL of them out and such. All my future plans, all my newest movie ideas, all my business and blogging thoughts. Everything. And sadly, after two hours, it was time to leave.
But I had a great time, thanks Dad!

You know those days

You know those days when you have a headache and it's supposed to rain outside and you have a million things to do and think about?

Yeah?

Well this is one of those days for me.

So I haven't really done much today but study, read, eat, make a CD, fix my Mom's computer and pray.

And have a headache.

Last night I was listening to the song Bethovens 5 secrets (on my playlist at the bottom)

I listened and listened. And had a movie idea. A DIFFERENT one.

It's hard to explain but I'm gonna go all Anne of Green Gables and say it was like I was drinking in inspiration. Yeah, seriously. But it was! I had so many ideas and so many shots I wanted.

The problem? I haven't figured out a story/ plot to it. But I know what I would like. *excited*.

Today and Today

Today was filled with silence, reading, laughing, eating, computer and helping Yule read a book.
Oh and writing. And studying. We were supposed to have a group post over at Above All else today, however I realized I needed more time, and not everyone was ready (namely Me). I realized that I didn't really understand the topic and I needed more then just a few hours to study it and ponder/ pray about it. So next Monday we will be having it. :) Today my brother and I spent a long time laughing while he helped me on a short story I was writing. After we  FINALLY finished it I sent it off to one of my favorite blogs. So if they accept it I'll be sure to let yall know ;) I daydreamed about my camera today...And everyday.. But it shall soon be here. I have a lot on my mind involving it. Namely~

• I am going to be shooting my Sister and Brother in laws anniversary pictures.
• My cousin is offering to buy some of my photography.

And other things. So yeah... I've had a LOT on my mind involving business, photography, and blog lately. Not to mention my family life. So I don't really have anything THAT interesting to write.

And yes I went to see Hunger Games yesterday.. I can't really give my opinion of it at the moment, because I am still mulling it over. I'm like that with movies. I usually need a few days to contemplate them.

And now I am eating a HUGE hunk of fudge made by use girls and my grandma. And about to curl up on the couch and watch Little House On The Prairie with my sibs. :)

Today all my siblings went to the barn to work.

But I didn't want to go.

Life of Lately

Photography.

Who doesn't love it.

Today I came across a pinterest account that I almost repinned like all her stuff.

And most of it was photography.

I was so inspired.

Yesterday I came across a wedding photographers blog.

I fell in love.

Like in my last three posts I wrote about what my goals would be in photography.

And it was like looking at this blog and this pinterest account that just keeps me inspired.

I want to be a photographer that captures life.

I want to take beautiful simple photos.

I want to show beauty through my viewfinder.

I want to take engagement and wedding photos.

I would be content to snap photos all day.

I am getting my new camera soon (i hope).

I miss it so much, even though I have never owned it.

I have camerasickness.

Yeah, I know right?

I have been told I have a very good photography style.

I like that.

I paint my life through my camera.

I prefer pictures with grain , that are black and white.

That are simple.

That have vintage colors.

That have a story.

That has shadows.

That is beautiful.
